John Patrick was the original homesteader of the Wit's End Ranch. Around 1870, he built this old log cabin, together with the original barn. This four bedroom cabin is the ranch’s homestead.
This cabin has a knotty pine interiors, french doors, down comforters, 2 living rooms, a large native stone fireplace, 2 kitchens with a dining area, a private deck furniture and a swing, all in a beautiful setting.
Downstairs you will find a queen bedroom with a walk in closet and a second bedroom with two twin beds. There is a full bath, kitchen with spacious living area, a massive stone fireplace, and a large porch that overlooks the stocked trout ponds and the ranch.
The upstairs has another two bedrooms, a queen in the first bedroom, the second with two twins. There is another kitchen, spacious living area, and full bathroom upstairs.
This area is full of activities for your family. There are walking and biking trails both up the mountain and around Vallecito Lake. There are a number of horseback riding stables that are open to the public. The marinas are located just 2 miles away from your cabin. You can also rent ATV's, Mules (another type of 4-wheel drive machine that seats 4) Jet Skis, Ski Boats and Pontoon Boats just around the corner- less than 1 mile!
